New Orleans IndexI recently picked up this book, New Orleans Bicycles, which is both beautiful (Mark Batty does such nice books and keeps the price low enough to entice) and heartbreakingly rich.
I haven't been back to New Orleans since Katrina, and I haven't seen Spike Lee's When The Levees Broke, just yet, but this and Robert Polidori's After the Flood, which I saw at the Met a few months back, are wonderful contributions to the index of New Orleans. They make me want to pack my bags full of hankies and get on a train.

I have been unable to watch the entire Spike Lee documentary. It is excellent, but so depressing as to require intake in small doses. Please come to New Orleans.
